Here's the situation: I want to be able to live stream a conference from on auditorium to another room in my building. the other room is about 250 meters from where the control room is for the recording/broadcasting. THis is far too long of a distance for a normal HDMI cable to traverse and still maintain even 720p quality. I tried getting an HDMI extender that converts HDMI to 2 CAT6 cables and back again (ei, run the CAT6 the long distance and use HDMI to interface with sender.receiver) but the distance is too great, the signal gets lost.
Here's my question:
Does anyone know of an easy way to use an apple TV to receive a live streaming signal?

podcasting solutions are welcome, but the computer from which the Apple TV will be receiving signal (for home sharing or otherwise) is running Windows 7.
I've heard that HTTP live streaming is supposed to work, but I can't find anywhere that actually tells you how to get it working specifically with an Apple TV.
