Best Sonic Game on the iPhone?

I want to get one Sonic game, because I vaguely remember playing back in the day. However, I was never really into Sonic hardcore so I couldn't tell one from the other.

My question is, if you are going to buy just one, which one would you get? Start with the first one and see if I like it? Is one particularly better/longer than others? They all have pretty good reviews.

Not one of the Sonic games you would have played in the past, but Sonic Racing is great fun, more like Mario Kart from the past.

Sonic CD. It's on sale right now I believe and it's an amazing port. It has EVERYTHING the original had to offer including both american and japanese versions of the songs. I was blown away by the game and its virtual joypad's accuracy.

This game is awesome. Cannot say enough good things about it. (Short of Super Mario World or Super Mario 3 or Legend of Zelda appearing on the iPhone...
