Best sound card compatable with os x

I am building a hackintosh this summer, and I am using the Asus P5Q, and the sound quality on the onboard sound is not to good and since I will be getting a nice pair of speakers soon (M Audio Studiophile) I am looking to upgrade the sound card, but not many are compatable with os x. I have been looking and the M-Audio Transit looks good, but I was wondering what you think, Does it have good sound quality? I am looking for a relatively cheap sound card (perferably internal but it doesnt matter either way). Thanks in advance
