What is the BEST sounding USB or Firewire audio interface for MacBook? I do prefer something that is BUS-Powered or Phantom Powered, Midi input is a MUST for keyboard.

- I will be using GarageBand
- Focal Twin6 BE powered monitors

I looked at M-Audio, but I question its sound.

I use the NativeInstruments Audio Kontrol 1 it has 192khz/24bit

I use this one for my desk because it is tiny, decent quality. It powers my home system (1 KRK v88 through the headphone output, 2 KRK Exposes, 2 KRK V8 (series One) through a KRK V12s)
Obviously if you spend more money...you can get some more....how much are you looking to spend and I might have some better suggestions...

The Apogee Duet is an oft-mentioned option. The Edirol FA-101 is a worthy and very flexible option.

You're best off posting this in the Digital Audio subforum where you're probably less likely to get answers like the above post.
