Whats the best website for comparing different spec iMacs, MBPs etc. I would like a website that gives me performace for real world tasks like itunes performance, how long it takes to encode with handbrake, a games FPS etc as well as an overall score.

I found a really good one but have recently lost my favourites and can't find it again. I'm in the market for a new iMac and want to see whats best for my needs.

Cheers

Are higher or lower numbers better? For the overall score higher is better, correct?

Depends. In some tests, lower is better while in others higher is better. The best result is highlighted in red so take a look at that and compare it with other scores to get the idea.

Well, I mean for the test you posted a link to.

I did notice that the speed mark testing did not test for the most common things Mbps are used for, like word processing, web browsing, internet surfing, etc.
