Flashscores I use very quick in sending notification of scores

I use Sports alerts. They have a complication also but doesn't update frequently enough for me. Mlb at bat has one also that hardly ever updates. But the glance is awesome. Both have notification alerts as well. I am really surprised ESPN doesn't have a complication.

If it's for football and you're in the UK I can't fault Sky Sports Centre.

Faster than all that I've tried in the past.

I had sky sport centre and flashscores and flashscores was the quickest out of the two in my opinion and flashscores it not restricted just for football

I love TheScore app. Alerts me 15 minutes before my team's games are getting ready to start and sends another alert when game is over with final score. You have to be careful if you are out and you are are recording the game to watch when you get home.

The Score app also has a complication.
I was excited to see The Score had a complication and finally added it back on my modular screen. Didn't update the same score once in three hours. I had to click on it to get the updated score and it was about 30 minutes behind ESPN's glance. Very disappointed. I know Apple controls updates, but sports scores as a complication need to update with every score or inning or similar to be worth a complication space. In my opinion of course...

I agree. The score complication is horrible. I've given up and am just using glances. I emailed the score and sports alerts and they both blame Apple. Saying they don't allow them to update enough. Claim Apple is worried about battery.

Sadly, that is a true story that many app developers have stated. I only use glances for sports and stick with things, carrot and a few others as complications depending on the time of day or day of week.

Apple allows us to choose how apps are handled on the phone for usage. They should allow us to choose which watch complication can be updated at xx minutes.

is there an app that has complications for live scores of a chosen game? I use OneFootball but the complication is just a short cut for the glance, which is a total waste of time, the alerts are excellent but I need something that shows real time scores, I'm sure I recall that being shown at a keynote.

My thinking is letting developers push updates for these complications with notification(assuming they overlap) this would use very little if any at all battery. Example, your hockey team scores and a notification is pushed to watch with the score(such as thescore app does already). All the data needed for compilation update is within the notification. If no notification is enabled then revert to 30min updates for battery life.

I'm testing the The Score update from yesterday and it does appear to update the score now. So far it appears to require you to enable notifications on how often. If you set for 5 minutes, it sends your watch a mitigation of the score and if you dismiss or look it updates the complication. I started testing on the Villinova bball game and it updated the score but then it took longer than 5 minutes to send a notification but then it sent another and it updated the score.

This is way developers can get by the Apple 30 minute window. Sending a notification. This might turn out to be a great sport app with complication but I have to play more.
