I am waiting for a Crucial 256GB,Real SSD,C300,SATA 6GB/S to arrive along side an opti bay unit to fit a second drive in Superdrive space, Ive just found out via smart utility that my 320 7200rpm drive is failing, so my question is what is my best option for a replacement HD. 500gb should be enough, should i get a 7200 or would there be any benifit of a Seagate Momentus XT
thanks for looking

More details please.

do you want it to RAID0 for speed, are you looking for storage? What?

If you want to RAID0 go with another SSD... it's sickly fast.

If you want to have the extra storage, get a 500 or 750GB HDD, and I would get a 5400 to be honest. As a storage drive WHY get a 7200rpm? It's louder, it puts off more heat, it uses more battery up? No upside to it if it's just a storage drive in the optibay.

Gotta decide what your using it for. If like most and want extra storage... just get a 5400rpm 500GB and you'll be loving it. They are like $80 from newegg for a good western digital.
