Hi

I wan' t to buy a SSD drive for my MBP 17" Early 2011. I think that I need a 256 GB Unit. Of course I buy a SSD for his great performance but I use my computer for work so I absolutely need a really reliable unit. Which is the model with the best performance but without compromise in reliability? Thanks a lot

Crucial M4 is more reliable than Intel and Samsung. Read amazon and newegg reviews and you will see...

Intel has long been a great option for stability and reliability. I've heard great things for Crucial as well. Given the overall performance of SSds,

My first suggestion is definitely do not look at this thread SSD Buying Guide located at the top of this forum. Or search for any of the other SSD threads on this forum.

There is no BEST SSD. There is only what works. What works for one may be a POS for someone else. I use Intel because I find them reliable. My coworker had his die within a week.

The performance of the new Samsung 830 series seems to be really really great. The big question mark is if it' s also reliable and if it work great on MacBook Pro. I hope anyone have tried it. Thanks!

I've been using a second generation Intel SSD for a while now, and I haven't experienced any problems with it. I will eventually upgrade to a SATA II drive when the prices come down. But even for an "old" SSD, this one is still pretty damn quick and reliable.
