Hello.

I currently have this stand (see pic below) for my old MBP '15 2018).
Yes, I'm aware it doesn't match, but I'm getting the silver Air. I had to adjust this little stand by myself. It was actually quite hard to adjust it, so it wasn't too tight or too loose. I'm a bit paranoid that my incoming Silver with get damaged or bend in this type of stand, since I have to make my own judgement about the adjustment I've made. I'm still worried at times that my current MacBook is being damaged by the pressure.

It was quite cheap....But now I wonder, should I just buy the more expensive Twelve South BookArch instead? Apparently it comes with 3 different rubbers, so I don't have to adjust anything myself and be worried if I tightened it too much. However, I wonder if the rubbers are up-to-date with the latest '15 Air?

I already own the curve version (where it lays flat down), which I used before getting a monitor, but I don't need it anymore and it's not useable to tuck my MacBook behind the desk. As you can see, I like to have my MacBook hidden behind the Studio Display.

It should tell you what insert fits a specific macbook. I would argue as long as it fits the MBA 13” it should fit the 15” version since it’s just a hair thicker. I don’t have any experience with that stand though.

The TwelveSouth website explains exactly what the situation is with the 15" Air inserts: BookArc | Vertical Desktop Stand (twelvesouth.com)

as chrfr stated it looks like you can get a free insert "i" that comes with purchase which would cover the new Macbook. Since you stated you already have the curved version I would just reach out to the company and see if you can get a free "i" insert sent to you or even if it is a small purchase to cover maybe shipping or something.

I'm sorry if I didn't communicate it probably, but the curve I'm taking about is the one were it lays flat.

Gotcha yeah well I do have the Twelve South Arch and it does its job and looks nice and built well. As noted on their webpage it looks like an "I" insert will come with it for the 15" MBA. I guess it question is more do you want to be able to access your Mac like the one you have or do you still want it tucked away? The Twelve South Arch will solve the problem of basically a comfortable fit
