Tagging this to check later. If I could find a stand that charges without having to plug in the ipad that'd be super great.

That looks really nice, I might pick one up eventually.

For now my free random household item stand works perfectly though. Just need something with a U shape cut in it, the back doesnt actually need a big easel style support.

i also usually make my own out of household equipment, but if you want to buy a real one then you may want to wait a bit for the 3rd party manufactors to wake up.

I love my Griffin Loop. I've used it with the original iPad and it works just as well with my iPad 2. I take it all over the house with me and use it and the charging cable on my nightstand at night.

This is a nice device, but absurdly over-priced, even for an Apple accessory. It works nice (I tried it for a week), but there are many other options (including DIY options).

Also check out IKEA, they sell show-piece painter's easels and plate holders which can be had for a few bucks a pop and function just fine. They usually have weight limits of a few pounds, but we know how light the iPad is.

Loop looks nice as long as you get it much lower than the $30 MSRP. It would be nice if they made one in white to match the new iPad.

+1

Perfect for all occasions. Easy to use, no moving parts. Simple. New colors would be nice. The grey and black is perfect for the Black iPad.

Twelvesouth Compass is nice, but my perennial favorite is hands down the Skadoosh by www.jadu-industries.com

provide great functionality
it just might not be aesthetically beautiful when u want to use your ipad as a photo frame

I bought 2 on kickstarter, (one for me, one for my parents and their first gen iPad). I haven't bought anything in the mean time, as they are set to ship in April, I hope earlier rather than later.

you could make one if youre a geek like me:)
