Hi all;

just wondering what the best stick solution is for airplay 2? I’m happy going with anything but I don’t think the fire stick or chromecast will work natively with airplay, and I don’t really want to pay for a solution (though I suppose I’d be willing to consider a simple one).

Reason: some apps I use don’t appear on Amazon or google’s App Store.

if I may hijack the thread, I am looking for the cheapest way to airplay or apple tv to my tv. I am not willing to pay $150-AppleTV just so i can watch a video I bought on iTunes on my tv.

The Apple TV does much more than that. You don't have to pay $150. Used ones go on ebay for as little as $30.

There are a surprisingly small number of options.

You can buy a used Airport Express, interesting discussion here:

Or, try the Belkin solution:

Not natively but there are several free apps e.g. Airstream which you can install on the firestirestick (lite).
