For PDF files; I use PDF Expert 5 and I was wondering what kind of stylus if any does any of you guys use to take notes, encircle, highlight or anything on pdf files? Making the pdf and stylus a pen and paper combo is what I'm trying to achieve and some stylus has round tips making it not as precise as I want it to be.

I'm trying 53 now and not overly impressed by it.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah. Attaching a Bluetooth keyboard doesn't feel good for me.

I also use the 53 and use notability to work with PDFs. I like how the 53 has a soft tip for accuracy versus the hard ones on other stylus'

I've never tried the hard tipped stylus. Is it better than the soft tip?

The tips themselves won't scratch the screen, but it is possible that a piece of grit caught under the tip (soft or hard) could.

I enjoy using the Adonit Jot Classic ($15 @ walmart.com or Amazon). It has a clear plastic disc at the tip which allows for a fine tip. I've used it on my iPad 2, iPad 4, and now Air 2 (none of which had screen protectors). All fine.
