Best time for hard drive deals

Hi,

I've been looking to get a couple of 4 tb internal drives. I've seen some slower 4tb Western Digitas 5200rpm green drives on sale at Newegg at $139. Any other deals out there. I need them for data backup. I usually use WD and Hitachi but I don't see any good deals. Looking for 3-4.

I have never really noticed any particular season for HDD sales. Seems like they are always on sale.

Most of the deals were before Christmas, we're entering a time of relative quietness. I don't think you'll be seeing too much at this point.
