So, iPad veterans:

Based on your past experiences, when is the best time of day to activate my iPad, and retrieve my apps/data that I've previously purchased via my iPod Touch? I'm thinking around 6pm, when I get home from work tomorrow night, is going to be an really bad time to do so.

Should I stay up until the wee hours of the night, or should I chance waiting until the day Saturday? I suppose I could go get my stuff a little at a time.

Any suggestions?

I will be doing mine at 5PM est. I am going out tomorrow night so I'll just let it run . The restore itself actually doesn't take much time (5 min?), it's the re-downloading of the apps that will take a bit of time. You can actually use the iPad while it reinstalls all the apps.

If I use my backup, no time at all, but I've changed my mind...There are too many old apps that I don't need and don't ant on my newbie...So will be doing mine AFTER I've done my ATV3...It will take as long as it takes .....Be around mid-day before I get to it.
