Hey guys, I was curious as to what is the best overall torrent client available to Apple users? I just bought a new MBP and coming from a Windows bases OS I was using BitComet which always seemed to work pretty good.

I am curious as to which is the fastest and best...

uTorrent, but lots of people use transmission as well.

I use transmission, but it's nowhere near as feature filled as µtorrent for windows. i've been considering trying to run it through x11, but i don't know id it'd be as functional.
transmission is great for quick downloads, but as far as management, µtorrent blows it out of the water. too bad it's closed source... bastards...

I disagree with torrenting on the Mac sucks. I get the same speeds out of Transmission that I do on uTorrent on Mac and Windows. The main weakness as I see it is that utorrent can handle more downloads than Transmission. If you're not a torrenting freak then I would say Transmission.

I've been using Transmission for a few years and I've never had issues maxing out my 1.7MB/sec connection! :D Works great for me.

Same. I use Transmission. It works fine for me. As long as it has IP filter support (which it does) and works. I'm happy.

Then again I don't torrent much so honestly I dont need it to handle numerous connections, etc, to a crazy degree.

I like Transmission, but for whatever reason I experience the same issue that many many others do (31 page discussion on issue). But when transmission works, it works great. I don't really like windows torrenting programs, but I guess thats why I am a Mac guy.
