I’ve got a 2018 iPad Pro, an iPhone 11 pro, airpods pro, and a watch. I’m planning several trips soon and would like to buy some spare charging gear so I’m always Packed and ready to go. Any recommendations? I’ve got a sea of usb a chargers, and cables, and some a to c or lightning adapters but don’t really know what I need for quick charging.

im thinking a two port Anker/aukey usb c wall adapter and a few cables should cover most things. I can charge the phone and iPad while I sleep, then when I get up I can swap in the iPods and watch (guess just buy a spare cable and maybe a small usb a brick) for charging while I shower. Throw in a couple mfi certified 10 or 15 foot cables for convenience. I considered a usb to hdmi converter and cable for the iPad for hotel tv watching but that may be too much to carry.

im all ears on any travel devices you love for a setup like this.

My preference is for a multi-port desktop charger, and my last trip (a mix of hotels and apartments) only reinforced that.

They're not much larger than a wall charger, can be had with QC or PD ports, and are more flexible and convenient than a wall charger.

Unless you often stay in relatively modern hotel rooms, outlets aren't always located at convenient desk or countertop level. An Airbnb rental can have outlets hidden behind a nightstand, or other furniture, just like the average home.

I'd rather have a single cord running to the outlet, rather than multiple long cords which need to be wrangled and packed. Not to mention the extra cost for multiple 10-15 ft MFi cables, instead of the 3 ft cables you probably already have on hand. It also allows the flexibility to put the ports in a more convenient place, instead of being captive to the location of the outlet, and then running long cords to it.

A four-port desktop charger would cover all your needs, and be less unwieldy than a wall version, which can run into physical space or weight constraints, especially if a travel adapter enters the equation. A standard IEC "figure eight" power cord that most desktop chargers use has no such issues. If you regularly travel to a particular place, you could even obtain an extra IEC cord with the plug specific to that country.

Something like this would provide enough power for even for Macbook, if needed, and would be able to fast charge the iPad and iPhone, but there are other options depending on how important fast charging is to you.

I do the same, I travel internationally every 6 weeks. Tried so many different setups, settled in on this one and it has been working great

USB-C for iPad
USB-A for iPhone 11 Pro
Internal 10000mAh Battery
Integrated Lighting Cable
Adapters for UK/EU/AU

I also carry a USB-A to Apple Watch Cable. I have tried several different models, even the one with the battery, they have never worked out. I just carry the Apple official cable.

Finally, I carry a "multi charging" cable.. This is the one I chose..

I plug that into the USB-C Port on the charger, then one end into the iPad Pro, another into the iPhone. I use the USB-A for the Apple watch cable and the lightning for the AirPods. (or if I bring my Bose QC's, I use the micro USB for them)

I also carry one additional USB-C to USB-C Cable, that way I'm covered if for some reason the multi cable should fail. I can use it direct, the built in lightning for the phone and AirPods

One charger
2 cables
1 Backup cable

Check out the Hyper Juice. It's a 100W travel charger that has 2x USB-C and 2x USB-A ports, 100W maximum, and is smaller than 13" Macbook Pro charger. It's GaN, which is how it gets to be so small and powerful. It comes with a bunch of international adapters that snap-in.

Yes it is only Kickstarter for now, but this company has had a few successful campaigns where every product was delivered timely; thus generally they're trustworthy.

I've been watching that one.

Two concerns
1. Kickstarter
2. UL certifications? (Glanced over FAQ, didn't see anything)

Also.. no battery.. ;)

Mind you, I'm always looking for the better mouse trap, I'll keep an eye on this one

For some companies, like Hyper, Kickstarter is more of a presale platform than a fundraising platform. They've sent a bunch of prototype units to reviewers, their prior projects were a success. I wouldn't worry about it.

In response to backer questions in the comments, they said it will have CE, FCC, UL, ETL, PSE certifications.
