The best way to charge your 16" Macbook Pro is to use the supplied 140-watt charger. No argument there.
However, I will be traveling on a plane and thought it would be good to buy a high-wattage USB-C/A charger for my laptop, iPhone, or iPad during the flight.
So, I am looking at high-powered USB-C chargers in the 100w-110w range. This is one of them:
Now, I realize that there isn't enough power even at the highest plug-in wattage to properly charge and maintain the new 16" MBP. However, I suspect it should keep the battery level high during a 6-hour flight.
I also understand that there is no PD 3.1 USB cord for rapid charging. I would simply be using a normal USB-C cord from the charger to Macbook Pro.
My question is whether this charger and simple cord will suffice in normal laptop use (not heavy duty) during a flight AND if anyone is using that brand or another that they would recommend?
