Im sure like many, 2 USB-C's isn't enough when docked and being used at home.

At least one isn't being taken up strictly for power this iteration. I'll be using one for my monitor and one for an external back-up drive.

This leaves me empty. What are people using these days? Its been a while since I've seen the market and most hubs seem like they have more USB-A inputs than anything else.

What are people doing?

I bought an OWC Thunderbolt Hub for my iMac, it just came in so I haven't tried it out yet.
Uses 1 Thunderbolt port, leaving 1 free, but giving 3 additional (4 total free) + 1 USB-A.

The drawback to it is the power brick for it is twice as large as the hub itself, but in a desktop setup that's workable.

Caldigit SOHO USB-C dock.

10 Gb/s bus powered for portability or it has pass through PD charging. Use it with any 60+ W USB-C Power Delivery power adapter. This allows a single cable connection for both video and extra USB ports and charging. Great for the 2 port M1 or M2 MacBook Air leaving one Thunderbolt port still available.

I use mine previously with my M1 MBA and now with my new M2 MBA in clamshell mode connected to a 4K display.
