Hi Guys,
My current DVD convertor is Divx,
On a recent update, it came with MacKeeper? Don't know how that happened?
Then my grandson downloaded DivX on his PC and got a Malware warning "This software contains Malware"

I loved the old DivX (paid for!), But is it time to move on?
Is there better Video converters out there today?
For both Mac and PC?
........Gary

I have been using Handbrake for a number of years and it's great, have ripped about 1200 DVD's with no problems. Out of my whole library, there were only about 10 or 15 that it couldn't rip and those same ones wouldn't rip with other software that I tried. Best of all, Handbrake is free. :)

I have only used the Mac version however.

While "best" can be subjective depending on requirements, +1 for Handbrake. Works for different OSs. If you're looking for drag and drop, with good output then Handbrake. Note that if you so desire, you can configure it, too.

Tks for the heads-up, good to know it is still viable

Thank you,
Good to hear it will do both OS

MacKeeper is malware. If you have it, or any little "robot man" looking icons on your menu bar, get rid of it. If you can't get rid of it, call AppleCare, who will walk you through removal for free. I worked for AppleCare for a while, and a good 60% of my workday involved removing MacKeeper.

Back on topic, +1 for Handbrake.
