So I'm a indie Mac/ iOS developer and I'm looking for the perfect video editing software to create videos to promote my apps. iMovie just isn't cutting it for me anymore. Final cut pro is a little out of my price range currently, so I'm looking for cheaper alternatives. Any cheap alternatives that make the videos look like they were made by professionals? Anything near or under $30 would be nice. Thanks for the help :)

First...there is never any "best". Second, limiting your price range to under $30 will not get you anything better than iMovie.

Having just finished a video for my high school reunion, FCPX was the best choice given its editing capabilities, including ability to include "B roll" footage, etc.
