Ok, not sure if this matters, but what is the best way to adjust the volume since with computer speakers there are 2 sources to adjust volume -- on the Mac and on the speakers.

Currently I have my Mac volume up about 3/4, then I use the pod that comes with the Bose Companion 5 to adjust volume. I wonder if I should bring the Mac volume control all way to max, then use the pod to control the volume? Asking the audiophiles here, does it matter?

If I remember correctly, Logitech recommends that you turn up all software volume controls (iTunes, etc.) to max and use the hardware control on the speakers to adjust the volume. They say this gives the speakers the best source to work with.
