I would agree, I have used Carbon Copy Cloner to great success before.

Super Duper is free, but they do have a paid version that adds some features (most notably incremental backups).

I think I've used one of these to back up a Bootcamp partition w/ Windows XP (good thing too since I lost the CD cover that has the serial number - all I have left is the disk). I'd like to make a backup of the my Leopard Partion right after I've finished installing it from the CD and I've gotten all the updates installed too. That's what we're discussing here right?

And if something goes wrong with my hard drive or i just want to back up my files and reset this computer from scratch, I can just use this image rather than reinstalling from the Leopard DVD, right?
