I'd like to have two identical external drives for storage, one of which will be my 'going away' drive - i.e. it gets removed on a regular basis. Both drives are 120Gb, both are formatted FAT32.

I need something that'll keep the content of both drives synced in the background. Best solutions? Thanks

It isn't possible to set them up as a Mirrored RAID and still use them with one of them disconnected, is it? That would be sweeeet. 🙂

What I need won't work in RAID. It's got to be proper comparison software.

Continuous sync'ing is a challenge, but you could set a frequent schedule for (i.e.) SuperDuper, Chronosync, etc. This would sync the 2 drives as frequently as you wanted
