Best way to expand storage on rMBP

What's the best way to expand my storage for my MacBook Pro? Needs to be portable.

Depends on what you want to store and how you want to access it and how much storage you need.

If it was me I'd get a portable hard drive with built in wifi, something like this.

Then it can just sit in my bag and I can access it's contents on all my devices.

Try Pear by TarDisk. Read a lot of good reviews about it. It's expensive though, but the easiest solution to expand SSD.

Echoing an earlier poster, I bought one the Transcend Jet Drive to fit into my SD card slot. I added an addition 128GB with that card and keep my iCloud photo gallery located there. I have a WD My Cloud external hard drive that I use for movie storage over the network. It's very easy to use as well and plugged directly into my Netgear router. My Macbook Pro picks it up easily.

I moved my iTunes library and Paralells environments to a 2GB 2.5" HDD tucked away in a OWC Metcury Elite Pro min casei. Have not noticed any performance issues and can be thrown in my bag in a second.
