Hi I just shot a short two minute video with a camera that captures HD video in AVI. I'm editing it together in final cut and I'm wondering what's the best way to export it to preserve image quality; format, codec, etc. Also I need to eventually put it on a DVD. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot,
Mike

I would do this, once the sequence is ready for export...

1. File / Export / Quicktime Movie

2. Choose Audio and Video and Make Self Contained

This will create a .mov file of the sequence using the sequence settings, codec etc. etc. and should provide the best quality file possible.

THEN you can re-encode it in to anything else you want, for DVD, Blu-Ray, Web later using Quicktime Pro

Does that help..?
