Best way to get 5 if currently have 4s on contract w Verizon

Do what I did. Sell the 4S to Gazelle and purchase the 5 outright. It sucks but I feel it's worth it
If on a family plan add another line and transfer the phone off it. Then add a "dumb phone" or "tablet".
I do this every year. Buy the latest version outright then sell my older version on Craig's list.
You can also sell your old phone on/ to Amazon. Amazon.com will give you the most straight up without having to worry about "selling" it. Only down side is it will be in the form of an Amazon.com gift card.
