Best way to get a high quality signature to use for signing PDFs?

I want to be able to sign .PDF files in Preview and I see that you can use the trackpad to create a signature, though that does not work for me, because I'm unable to make a good one. When I use the camera to take a photo of a signature on paper it does not come out great either. What is the best way for doing this? Should I be looking at a different program?
