I need a few files via airplane mode (going to canada), and I wanted to have access to them. Looks like once you open it in drop box, it's cached, but does anyone know how long?

Is there a better way to transfer/store a file so I can use it? Specifically PDF's.

PDFS can be synced and store in your iBooks app, i use FastPDF+ you can sync you PDFs to this app with itunes also so you can view them locally

I recommend GoodReader. It's a paid app, but is worth every penny. It basically creates a library on your phone or iPad, complete with directories you can organize things into. You can copy all sorts of media onto the phone, including images, videos, PDFs, audio files, text files, etc.

It's become my favorite app for putting arbritrary media on the phone!
