What can i do? i want it as early as possible. can i get my friends with at&T to buy two? say it's lost and get a replacement?

request a debug unit from Apple. It's the same thing but it just has a small sticker on the back saying debug unit.

If you're going to say its lost then you'd have to pay full price for a replacement. I'd just go to eBay.

I'm willing to bet you're not going to be able to get the iPhone 4 w/o signing a two-year contract with AT&T.

But it for 600 or 700 dollars

Or I guess buy it for 200 or 300 dollars then cancel the contract at 325 dollars

So either 525 dollars or 625 dollars.

Open a new line with new phone number. Buy iPhone 4 for 199/299. Cancel the old contract with old phone number by paying $175 or less. Enjoy your new iPhone and new phone number! Voilà!

ETF is 325 now.

The 32GB iPhone 3GS was sold at a no contract price for $799. That is how I bought mine. Hopefully, there will be a no contract price for the iPhone 4.0.

Hopefully the websites covering WWDC will ask.

thats an idea, but it would be 199 plus 325 (new higher drop fee) plus 70 bucks (monthly) = $595

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.125 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/107)

I really hope the iPhone 4 is available outright. I'm in Canada and when its released I want to buy one but don't want to renew my contract for another 3 years (3 year terms on Rogers here).

I'm not sure about the new contract but the old one that I got with my 3G says that no cancellation fee will be applied if cancelled before 30 days.
