Best way to get to get Itunes on TV and control from Iphone?

A gizmodo article today about the remote app from apple sparked my interest in the app again and i tried it out. Works flawless through the PC and having that along with itunes running through my system upstairs, on the tv and controlled by the iphone would be the ultimate!

Is apple TV the only way to go other than hooking my pc up?
