Best way to increase mac external monitor brightness

I want to control my cinema display (connected to my MBP) brightness more easily. Rather than going into system preferences and changing it in the dialogue box.
I know i can bring this up quickly with alt+f1, but is there some app that allows either a menu bar control or keyboard shortcut.
I know i can get a menu bar control from the Appstore but this just controls my MBP screen brightness.
