I will be doing a clean reinstall of Catalina via a bootable USB drive. In the TimeMachine backup of user data I unchecked the box so that it won't restore system files and apps. Is there a good way to inventory the system for existing installed apps and user personalized settings, so that I can re-install these apps and adjust settings after the clean install? My current plan is to wander through the menus with a pen and notepad, but there should be a more automated way. Maybe an app exists to list the current configuration? (I am doing a clean install because this MacBook was infected by malware in the past, which was since removed by Malwarebytes, and this is the only way I can be 100% sure of a clean OS).
