Best way to mirror a drive for backup?

Does the Mac OS have something to do this, I would rather not use RAID and I'm leaning towards just setting up a nightly rsync to copy the data from one drive to the other unless there is something better. Any ideas?
 
SuperDuper! will do an excellent job of maintaining a clone of your drive. The paid for version will do an incremental smart update according to whatever schedule you set up.
