What's the best way to move emails between different Macs?
I have a Mac Pro as my main work machine. In Mail.app, apart from the me.com and Gmail accounts, I also have several pop email accounts as well as many local folders where I have saved important emails.
When I travel, I want the Mail.app on my MacBook Pro to look identical to Mail on my Mac Pro (and have the same accounts and mail rules). I also need to be able to read and download new pop emails as well as having access to all the saved emails.
In the past, I have just cloned the whole HD before I left and then cloned it back when I got back home. However, this doesn't seem to be ideal to do between different computer models.
I have also tried to move the whole Library/Mail folder but have heard that this is not recommended.
Any suggestions?
