Best way to move files from MBP to windows 7 desktop?

Hi,
My parents just got a new Gateway desktop PC, and they want some music/movies. I have a ton on my MBP hard drive, so I just figured I could move the files over thru some way like firewire or something (both computers have firewire ports).

So... what would be the easiest? And would the fact that the harddrives are configured differently effect this? HFS to NTFS?

Easiest way would be coping the files to external HD or memory stick and then coping them to the PC

I would just create a shared folder on their windows machine and transfer to that.
