I just bought a new Touch to replace my 2nd generation Ipod Nano because it couldn't hold a full charge for more than 45 minutes. So, I'm wondering if there are any tips on how I should discharge/recharge my Touch if I want to preserve the longevity of the battery?

Thanks!

If it is a 4G touch, then I just keep it on airplane mode unless I need the web. tripled the standby time on my battery.

If you are someone who uses it like a phone, where you need your notifications and such, then don't know what to say.

-Peace out!

Yeah, with my touch 4G I just put it into air plane mode all the time. If I'm outside with it or wherever, even at home when I don't have any use for wifi. Keep the brightness low. Be sure to close all apps from the multitask drawer.
