Hello, I want to combine documents in Word and pdf formats. I used a program to do it (don't remember the name). It generated a pdf document in hugh file size. What is the best way to generate a reasonably readable pdf file with low file size?

My original approach:

1. Create some documents in Word and printed as pdf format.
2. Used a program (don't recall the name) to combine the pdf file from the original Word and other pdf documents.

Thanks.

For best results use Adobe InDesign (document assembly and formatting), create a PDF (InDesign PDF export options) and then use the Adobe Acrobat Pro PDF optimizer. Be careful, because some optimizer options can make your PDF incompatible with older versions of Adobe Reader (was Acrobat Reader) or remove content. Therefore, work only with document copies, not with the original files!

Thanks. Does InDesign take Word documents?
