Hi. I am ready to buy a 13" iPad Air to be used as an external monitor to display video clips to interviewees during interviews out in the field.

The iPad will be mounted on a tripod, and be outside in sun, wind, rain, and snow.

What kinds of things cn I do to protect my new iPad from the elements?

(Have never owned an iPad before...)

Do they make screen protectors like for an iPhone?

Durable cases?

Other things?

Otterbox, Urban Armor Gear, Targus, SaharaCase are a few names that have a history of making rugged iPad cases. It appears most manufacturers are slow to bring product to market this cycle.

Searching for ‘rugged iPad case’ should yield more options as they come available.

There are many screen protectors for iPads. Some rugged cases have integrated screen protection.
