I got applecare for my new macbook pro 16 (2021) but would still like to avoid minor scratches and dings that wouldnt be worth paying the applecare deductible for.
Been looking at Drand skins but cost is steep considering its essentially 3m paper and it doesnt full cover the laptop.
What are you good folks using for this purpose?

Thanks

I've ordered a leather sleeve for my MBP 14 to keep it from hitting scratchy things in my backpack. After it comes out of that sleeve though there is no protection of any kind--it's not like a mobile phone that can drop from your hand easily. I just try to be careful with it.

I also have a clear hardshell case that I'll only use at the airport when I have to take it out and place it in the bins. I was at the Ft. Lauderdale airport once and the TSA was particularly awful there that day. They were rushing everyone and I placed a new laptop in a bin that overturned and fell on the floor when the guy pushed several bins at once. It made a huge noise and everyone looked, a TSA guy walked over to see if the screen cracked but it didn't luckily--though the computer was now scratched from the floor. Super annoying day.

I picked up a "Fintie Case for MacBook Pro 16 Inch Case A2485 (2021 Release)" off amazon which I know will get scuffed and crack but I would much rather the case get scuffed than the finish on the MacBook. I also have a SF Bags sleeve that I used for my 2015 MacBook Pro which seems to fit my 2021 16" just fine.

Put dBrand on mine 7 years ago and haven't taken it off since. Sticks well but can be removed easily. Will probably buy another for my new MBP when it arrives. Agree it's a little pricey (especially the leather!) but free shipping and $25 is ok for protecting a £3,000 MBP

Apple won’t let you use AppleCare+ warranty incidents for what it considers “cosmetic blemishes”. Just an FYI.
