Part of the old MR guard.
I'm now converting from using my MacBook Pro from using it probably once every two days to using it on a daily basis, bringing it wherever I go.

What are the best ways to protect my MacBook Pro and make sure that it's internals are not damaged, screen not cracked, etc? I have a Incase 15" bag to carry it along with me.

Any hardcase will do (don't let anyone else tell you otherwise). A keyboard guard and a palm + trackpad protector will also do some good to protect the finish.

That and some iKlear to clean up the exposed spots and you'll be good to go.

If you really wanna go all out you can offer you screen a little lovin' also by using something like a 3M privacy filter. Mine offers suprisingly little privacy, but helps prevent against idiots who think my screen is touch capable and have to explain things with their fingertips
