Hi,

I need to re-install Snow Leopard over Lion, but when I held down the C key to boot off the Snow Leopard, it kept booting up into Lion off the hard drive. What can I do to force the MacBook Pro to boot up off the Snow Leopard installation disc?

Thanks,

The option key will probably do it.. though I installed Snow Leopard over Lion with the C key

I spent 2 hours at the local Apple Store, and they couldn't either boot up or install Snow Leopard on my computer, after erasing it. Going into target disk mode, I was able to use one Mac to install my copy of Lion back onto this one. 100% pure Lion install. I'm hoping (praying) this works.

If it was just an OS problem, that would be great. Versus one or two serious hardware problems (logic board and maybe the hard drive).
