Yeah! I know a guy who used to record phone conversations and he got arrested and he's now awaiting the death penalty!

My old feature phone used to record calls, best way would probably be to use a call forwarding site that can record. Like Prankowl, but not for Pranks :D

While your trite, glib response may pass for humor and make light of what might appear to be a minor offense; recording phone calls in some countries (like the US) can have serious implications including federal charges.

It's not humor

How would the notes app be used for something like that?

You aren't allowed to. No other apps can run while a phone conversation is in effect.

Back to the topic: JB, get Elias Limneos' Call Recorder and my configurer & muter tool (see https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1566350/ ) and you're set.

I thought I remembered being able to do this way back when but only a few seconds of a convo.

but then I just remember this was my old Windows mobile 6.1 phone that did this.

Call recording is possible on many other platforms. It's only Apple's iOS and MS' Windows Phone that is so strictly locked down WRT call recording.

Yes, that was more of a rhetorical question than anything else.

Tell that to Donald Sterling's GF. ;-)

far from the truth, you can do whatever you want on the phone while on a call

i used safari, notes & multiple apps just now during a call

OK, I should have emphasized this only applies to audio recording. Which is in plain impossible. Unless you JB, of course.
