What is the best technique for removing the cellophane without damaging the box. It is so tightly wrapped against the box that I can't get a good grip on it with my fingers, and I don't want to take a razor blade to it for fear I will slice the box. How did you guys remove it?

Sharp knife on the back where the top that comes off sits around the box the phone is held in.

Always open it this way - knife just slices right through. The most satisfying part ;) haha.

There should be a small gap between the box itself and the slip on cover- use an exacto knife and slice it open there. Slice all four sides, only removing the bottom wrap, and you can even keep the cellophane on to protect the slip on cover :p

Really? You need us to instruct you on how to find a weak point in the box's infrastructure?
It's an iPhone 5, not a one of a kind Picasso!

Are you fricking kiddin ? a thread about how do I open the box:confused: dude you got bigger problems than opening a box

Latex gloves, tweezers and an exacto knife. Put on gloves, carefully rotate box so it is upside down on a soft, lint-free cloth. Insert the exacto knife between the lid and base, sliding sideways at the rate of no more than one inch per second.

Use tweezers to remove cellophane.

Carefully lift one end of the box using the tweezers, slide gloved hand under box, and while holding top and bottom together, gently rotate box back into original upright position. You are now ready to lift the lid and expose the new device. Good luck!

Wow

I just stuck a sharp knife down the side and it sliced right open.

OMG

Even if it ever so slightly knicked the freakin box, so what.

This is ever so sad.
