The easiest way depends on you manage your photos. If you just have them on your HDD and use Finder to organise them, Preview is simplest.
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto is simplest.

LOL, sorry about that. I just have to get used to it on this as compared to my PC. I was able to do with iPhoto(I wish it easy as one step) and I will explore the other ways. Thanks!

Instead of opening a pic in iPhoto you can open in in Preview (In Finder, right-click image file, Open with -> Preview), then click Tools -> Resize, it will resize the file you opened and you're done. No need to import/export with iPhoto.
There are also free image editing/resizing apps in the App Store.
