You can't create custom folders on the iPad yet, correct? Let's say I want to download class syllabi--what's the best way to download them to my iPad and save 'em for later viewing? On my iPhone I either load 'em up in AirSharing or in my Mail inbox, but neither method is that great.

I have folders in Goodreader with pdf manuals, receipts, photos, articles and more. I do save my docs and spread sheets in Office HD but I use Dropbox to move these around on the Ipad, archive them and access from main computer. Two apps I find necessary for a good experience with my Ipad are Goodreader and Dropbox.

What format are the syllabi in? You can download files directly in the iCab browser and then open them in other apps, for instance iBooks (for PDFs), Goodreader (for many document types), and Pages for .doc files. Pages as of now doesn't have folders, but it's still a well-designed and indispensable app if you're going to be using the iPad as a real work/study tool.

+1 on Dropbox too.
