Sorry if this topic has been discussed previously but I just want to be sure:

When buying a new iPhone to replace your existing one, what is the best way of setting it up? Having an iCloud backup, is it good to initiate the new phone using this backup? I mean in terms of performance. Will the phone run smoother if set up as a "new iphone" and then recover the basic things (whatsapp chats, photos, ets.)?

I've done both ways and never had an issue with performance of the phone. If your having issues with your old phone, then I'd consider setting up as new just to eliminate the chance that the software is corrupt. If everything is working fine, restore using your backup
