Hi,
im going to set up a shared iphoto on my home network next week. just waiting for my external harddrives to arrive.
here is my setup:

Mac mini #1: this one is connected to my wirless router with cable. Il have the external drives connected here. one drive for the iphoto library and one for backup of the library. Going to use SuperDuper! to make a backup of the library 2-3 day a week.

Mac mini #2: This one is connected to the network wireless.

Macbook Air: This one is connected to the network wirelss.

All the computers above have Leopard 10.5.2 and Ilife 08.

How should i set this up on my mac´s?
I want to be able to edit and update the library from all thhe mac´s.

Hi mate, what speed is your network? I did the same thing last weekend and iPhoto was totally unusable, crashing every 5 minutes, I'm on 100M LAN.

hi,
the wriless connection is 54Mbps. Have done som testing with opening a couple of photos using preview over the network wireless. When i played the files as a slideshow trough preview i took around 6-7 seconds to load the next picture. So thats a OK speed. But wonder what it would bee like in iphoto.
Have read a little that iphoto is not verry stable this way. anyone got a good solution?

how did it crash? why is it unusable?
