Best way to share photos from iPhone 6s+ to MacBook Pro 2010 17"

Hello, I tried AirDrop but it does not work. From the internet, it looks like MacBook Pro 2010 17" does not support Air Drop. What is the best way to send files especially photos from iPhone 6s+ to this Mac? Thank

There is an older hint called 10.7: Enable AirDrop on Macs without supported wireless hardware that might put Airdrop on that older Mac.

Just connect to your Mac in the "old fashioned" way and sync to iPhoto/Photos?
