Hi,
I have a PS4, ipads, macbooks, and such in the house.
Wondering what is the best way to share 4-6TB of media files on USB external HDDs. The problem is our smart tv doesn't recognise some folders. The ps4 too has problems.
The router usb doesn't recognise mac formatting well. Router is a Netgear AC1900 cable/router that the crap ISP here forces us to use (Australia).
1) Apple tv but it doesn't allow you to connect a usb hdd
2) mac mini (pricy given the fall in the AUD)
3) old 07 macbook (not native hdmi and can't handle the 1080p/4k video)
4)
Seeking another option or any recommendations to make 1-3 more workable.
