Broadly speaking, I watch entertainment on my computer. I currently subscribe to:
  • Comcast Xfinity TV and Internet.
  • HBO Max (because I get HBO through Xfinity).
  • Amazon Prime Video.

I now want to subscribe to some specific networks like Showtime, AMC+, and maybe Starz. I can add these channels through various means:
  • subscribe to each online service individually (which means more separate bills)
  • Xfinity cable TV
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Or maybe a new platform like Hulu.
Does anyone have an opinion on what would be my best course of action? What are some pros and cons?

I subscribed to starz individually. I did a trial through Apple TV and I don’t remember that I had access to the actual app. This was annoying because I couldn’t browse the entire library on Apple TV.

You can run the trial through each one and see how you like it.

Another option would be to add it on to Hulu, if that’s a route you’d want to go to. I think you’d be able to watch the live channel and also sign on through the app. I’m not sure if you’d gain anything by being able to watch the channel live vs just starting a movie.

Hope that was helpful.
